Anni & Bent Knudsen
Anni & Bent Knudsen Collection – Timeless Danish Craftsmanship
Anni & Bent Knudsen (who passed away in 2013 and 1997, respectively) were a renowned artisan couple from Kolding, Denmark, specializing in silver, hanging mobiles and paper art. Their journey began in 1952, and over the decades, they built a thriving creative legacy. In 2008, Anni Knudsen entrusted their company to Livingly, ensuring that their tradition of craftsmanship would live on.
For more than half a century, Anni & Bent Knudsen designed thousands of mobiles and intricate paper cuttings, which have been distributed across the world. Their work has earned numerous awards and has been exhibited in prestigious venues such as Koldinghus and Designmuseum Denmark (formerly the Museum of Decorative Arts). In 1964, their mobiles were even showcased at the World's Fair in New York.
Prominent ballerinas from the Royal Danish Ballet and renowned actors, including Danish Ghita Nørby, participated as models in the marketing of their creations, adding a touch of elegance and cultural significance.
Each mobile was meticulously die-cut in-house, with local artisans assembling, gluing, sewing, and packaging the products by hand. Today, Livingly continues their legacy with the same dedication to quality and craftsmanship.
