Livingly sponsors large mobile installation for Kabel29
Kabel29 at Traaden is the new hotspot for young people in Middelfart. It’s a house with space for concerts, creative workshops, a café, skateboard ramps, mini golf, and much more. At Livingly, we believe it’s a fantastic initiative and a great opportunity for the young people who have both developed the concept and will now run the venue. They’ve truly invested an extraordinary amount of effort.
To celebrate the opening, we have chosen to sponsor a large art installation for the space – three very large hanging mobiles. Louise designed them especially for Kabel29, in close dialogue with the young people who decorated the venue. The mobiles are suspended in the tall room above the café, tying the large space together.
We call the mobiles “Steaming Tea” – their organic forms symbolize the steam rising from the cups of tea and coffee served just below. At the same time, the steam-like shapes represent the positive energy of the place and the warm conversations (and “tea” - another word for secret stories) you can enjoy in the café. ;-)
The flowing white paper shapes are stitched together with colorful wires, referencing the creative activities taking place in the house.
The elements of the mobiles move continuously in and out from one another, creating a dynamic and unique atmosphere in the room – hopefully inspiring good vibes and memorable experiences for everyone at Kabel29.
Congratulations to all the young people of Middelfart!
Paper-loving greetings,
Kent & Louise
